Principal's Message

‘Syon College is affiliated to Panjab University Chandigarh. Our College endeavours to inspire and empower our students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. In the past few years, we have added many new courses and expanded exponentially in infrastructure development, providing for our students with higher level teaching-learning experience, more extra-curriculum activities, outreach programs, and placement opportunities. The mainspring of Syon College are the students as their holistic development and character building are the primary objectives of the institution. This is achieved by focusing on the needs of the individual student and providing the best socio-ecological environment according to his/her specific needs. At Syon College, students are encouraged to channel their potential in the pursuit of excellence in a holistic, student-centred environment. Now in its ninth year, Syon College continues to move forward in the true spirit of ability-driven education while sensitizing its students to the needs of the community besides inculcating values like integrity, fortitude, and acceptance of individual difference, the likelihood of achieving this is strengthened by the fact that we offer an academic program that facilitates an overall development of the human personality in all its dimensions-intellectual, physical, social, moral and spiritual. In the coming years the College will extensively focus on the National Education Policy-mandated blended learning programs, skill-based education, capacity building of its teachers and students and the non-teaching staff, and focus on further strengthening the Information Technology environment of the institution. The spirit of our college resonates with all its staff and students. I hope all of you will spend enriching and the most memorable years of your life in our college and make bonds lasting a lifetime.
